Steven MacDonald

Steven MacDonald was born in Calgary, Alberta but was raised in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. Steven got his start in the golf industry as a maintenance crew laborer at The Links at Montague in 2001. Steven first started work at Eaglequest Grandview Golf & Country Club in the spring of 2004 and held the position until he made the move to the pro shop in 2006. He balanced work between the pro shop and grounds crew until turning Professional in the fall of 2007. He has obtained diplomas in both Golf Business Managment and Professional Golf Managment from Holland College in Prince Edward Island.

James began playing golf at the age of 10 and quickly developed a passion for the game. He is a graduate of Holland College where he completed a three year PGM and played varsity golf for 2 years. He turned Professional in the summer of 2007 and has since enjoyed watching his students progress with his fun, positive approach to teaching. He understands that everyone has a different learning style and believes that everyone can improve in this great game.
In his spare time, James enjoys hockey and guitar. Future aspirations include becoming a Head Professional and owning a teaching academy.
