The course was designed by Bill Robinson of Cornish & Robinson Golf Course Designers in 1988. Bill Robinson returned to Grandview in 2007 to help implement a redesign of the original layout. The total length from the blue tees is now over 6700 yards. The course rating is 71.5 (Slope 128) par 72.
